WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Encore Recordings is looking for almost every type of music you can think of, in almost any format. We buy CDs, LPs, 7"s, 10"s, commercial reel-to-reel tapes and DVDs on a daily basis. We also buy music related books, posters, photographs, handbills and magazines. We also have an EXTREMELY LIMITED interest in 78s, cassette tapes, 4 track and 8 track tapes, piano rolls, 16 inch transcription discs, wax cylinders, VHS, etc. (meaning, we barely sell them, and buy them even less). The price we pay for anything is based on our experience, relative to supply and demand. Rarely is any one non-collectible item worth more than $5 to us (usually it's less than that). Collectible and/or rare items can bring you higher prices. In any case, we pay TOP DOLLAR for ONLY those recordings of yours which we need and accept. We do not give you a low-ball bid for things we have little use for (space is money, after all). We find that this arrangement is mutually advantageous. It should be noted that here in the Midwest, prices for recordings of all types are slightly lower than the full "book value" common on the East & West coasts.
