Encore Recordings is looking for almost every type of music you can think of, in any format. We buy CDs, LPs, 12"s, 45s, 78s, cassette tapes, reel to reel tapes, 4 track and 8 track tapes, piano rolls, 16 inch transcription discs, wax cylinders, DVDs, VHS, and on and on! We also buy music related books, videos, posters, photographs, handbills and magazines. We buy whole collections. Any amount of records, CDs, cassettes, 45s, 78s, whatever you have...from a few to a few thousand or more. The price we pay for anything is based on our experience, relative to supply and demand. Generally, we pay you 50% of the amount we hope to ask for an item when we try to sell it. This means: Your average LPs in great shape will bring you between $1.00 and $2.00, though there is no top limit. Average 45s in similair condition bring somewhat less than this, particularly if they do not have their original picture sleeves. Average 78s bring less than a dollar. Of course, these prices are for non-collectible items which we are in need of and expect will sell. Collectible and/or rare items can bring you much higher prices. In each case we pay TOP DOLLAR for only those recordings of yours which we need & accept. We do not give you a low-ball bid for things we have little use for. We find that this arrangement is mutually advantageous. It should be noted that here in the Midwest, prices for recordings of all types are slightly lower than the full "book value" common on the East & West coasts.
